Manchester City and Crystal Palace finished in a 2-2 draw in an entertaining game played at ‘Etihad Stadium’. The Eagles were up 1-0 until the 82nd minute of the match. Pep Guardiola’s team were then leading 2-1 before the away team snatched the draw with the help of an own goal from City captain Fernandinho.

Crystal Palace remain unbeaten by City this season

Cenk Tosun scored with a wonderfully placed header (39′) to give Palace the lead. Sergio Aguero was the messiah for City once more, after nailing a hat-trick against Aston Villa, scoring twice in five minutes (82′, 87′) to give his team the advantage.

But Crystal Palace had the last word in the game with their attack ending with an own goal by Fernandinho (90′) to salvage the draw. Man City now have 48 points and have played two games more than table leader Liverpool, who face Man United tomorrow. If Jurgen Klopp’s team wins both matches, they will be 19 points ahead of City.

Crystal Palace are 9th in the table with 30 points – only four away from the Europa League places.
