Jadon Sancho continues to build on his excellent form this season. The young English player scored his 22nd goal in the Bundesliga during Borrusia Dortmund’s 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig.

His goal (55′) gave Borrusia the lead in the game again (3-2) after Leipzig had previously trailed 2-0 in the first half, but managed to equalize to 2-2. Eventually, the away side did take a point from the game with Patrick Schick scoring (77′) to sink Dortmund’s hopes of sealing the three points.

Sancho becomes the youngest player to reach 22 goals in Bundesliga

Aged 19 years and 267 days, Sancho became the youngest player to ever reach 22 goals in the Bundesliga. The record was previously held by Horst Koppels, who scored his 22nd in 1968 – he was two days older at the time – 19 years and 269 days.

Sancho has been part of Borrusia Dortmund since the summer of 2017. He has so far scored 26 goals and made 36 assists in 78 games across all competitions. It’s no wonder that the winger has been linked with high-profile moves back to England, with Manchester United seemingly the strongest candidate for his signature.

A potential move to Old Trafford would be quite controversial, though, as the 19-year old player was part of Man City’s academy, even though he didn’t feature for the first team.
