Efrain Morales, 15-year old Atlanta United academy player has been invited to train in the Man United Academy for eight days. This is the first time something like this happens to the MLS club and they reacted enthusiastically to the news. Atlanta United Academy Director Tonny Annan was happy about the news, which comes to indicate Atlanta United are progressing well towards the development of young players.
“You can’t turn those experiences down, especially when you are developing a player. It’s a bonus to our academy that we are producing players of that caliber,” Annan said.
“It gives us a little pat on the back to say we are doing a decent job producing players that can play in the world’s best leagues.”
Efrain Morales was born in Suwanee, Georgia. He plays as a defender, is 6.2 (189cm.) foot tall, and has made 82 appearances for Atlanta United’s academy, being signed in 2016 as part of the U12 squad.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t made available to talk about the trial, but Annan describes him as a player that possesses good passing ability, strong tackling, and excellent technical skills. who usually makes the right decisions.
