Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic has arrived in Qatar and will sign for local club Al-Duhail, SkySports informs. The Croatian international will reportedly put his signature over an 18-month contract after passing mandatory medical tests.
Mandzukic – 33 – Qatar
The 33-year old striker has not played for Juventus since Maurizio Sarri was appointed coach in the summer. Mandzukic joined the Bianconeri in 2015. He scored 44 goals for the club in 162 appearances, winning Serie A four times, as well as three Italian Cups.
During the summer transfer window, the striker was reportedly a transfer target for Manchester United. The deal never materialized, though and now the Croatian looks set to join Al-Duhail, who are first in the Qatar Stars League. He is valued at around €10 million.
There has been no official confirmation from either club yet, but a deal may be announced in the next 48 hours.
