by Dusan Jovanovic

Novak Djokovic has no troubles advancing to the third round of the Australian Open, as he defeated Japanese Tatsuma Ito. The 32-year old Serb won by 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 and will now go on to face another Japanese player in the next round – Yoshihito Nishioka, who knocked out Dan Evans in the second round.

Djokovic is Australian Open’s reigning champion

Djokovic won Australian Open 2019 after beating Rafael Nadal in the final 6-3, 6-2, 6-3. The Serb has already won eight Australian Open titles and 16 Grand Slam titles in total, meaning he would be aiming to win his 17th in this year’s edition of Australian Open.

Nishioka’s clash with Djokovic will take place on Friday, January 24.
