Inter Miami strengthens their squad ahead of MLS debut

David Beckham’s franchise club will make its debut in the MLS on March 1 against Los Angeles FC. The club hired their first head coach – Diego Alonso recently and is now looking to improve the squad for the beginning of the campaign.

Argentinian winger Matías Pellegrini returned to the club after being loaned at Estudiantes, and his countryman striker Julián Carranza re-joined from his CA Banfield spell.

Lewis Morgan has two games under his belt for the Scottish national team. The 23-year old left midfielder, who can also play as a winger, spent the last season on loan at Sunderland, where he played 22 games, scoring twice, and adding four assists to his name.

Morgan joined Celtic from St. Mirren in January 2018 but finished the season in St. Mirren on loan. Afterward, he enjoyed some playing time for Celtic, but he was more of a rotation option. Overall, he has 31 matches for The Hoops.

According to reports, Lewis Morgan has now left Celtic’s training camp in Dubai and is expected to fly to the United States later on Friday.
