Erling Haaland is flying to Manchester on Friday morning, coinciding with interest from Manchester United. This was reported by the Norwegian newspaper Aftenbladet, who spotted Haaland boarding a Norwegian Airlines flight from Stavanger to Manchester.
Man United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refuses to comment links with the young striker. Here’s what he said in his pre-match news conference ahead of United’s game with Watford on Sunday.
“I don’t think he’s en route here, to be fair, not through me anyway. I can’t comment on other teams’ players, I’ve said that many times. That’s just one of those things in this job – you get so many speculations all the time,” Solskjaer said.
Haaland and Solskjaer could reunite
The 19-year old Norwegian striker, who has set the football world on fire this season, has already worked with Ole back in Molde. The pair were together for two years there, with Haaland playing 50 games, scoring 20 goals for Molde during his time at the club.
The proficient young goalscorer plays for current club Red Bull Salzburg since January 2019. He’s amassed a total of 29 goals in 27 matches for Salzburg. He has 16 goals and 4 assists from the start of the current campaign, grabbing attention worldwide.
Borussia Dortmund also appear very keen on adding the striker to their time, while he has already had talks with RB Leipzig head coach Julian Nagelsmann.
