Erling Haaland has officially been presented as a Borussia Dortmund player, in a deal which happened right under Manchester United’s nose. He was spotted flying to Manchester several days ago and The Red Devils seemed to be considered as favorites for the younger’s signature. Instead, he’ll be playing in Dortmund, joining fellow teenage sensation Jadon Sancho.

Haaland handed a 4-year contract

The 19-year old Norwegian has signed a deal, which will keep him at Signal Uduna Park until the summer of 2024. Reports suggest he’ll earn £130,000 weekly. The transfer fee, although undisclosed, is thought to be only £18m.

Haaland became one of Europe’s most wanted strikers this season, after impressing for RB Salzburg in the Champions League. The wunderkind scored against Liverpool and Napoli (twice) and holds a fantastic form of 16 goals in 14 games for Salzburg this season.

In total, the striker spent only one year at the Austrian club, joining in January 2019 from Molde. He played 27 games, scored 29 goals, and won two trophies – Austrian champion and Cup. He was also awarded the Austrian Footballer of the Year award in 2019.

As things stand, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to be on a look for another striker in the summer transfer window, having failed to sign a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who left in the summer to join Inter.
