Champions League final is set to be hosted in the US in 2024, according to recent information published by Daily Mail.

However, AP sources understood that the final of the most popular European football tournament will not take place in America in that particular year, especially before the European Championship in Germany, which will be held in the same year.

Champions League final will stay in Europe…for now

It’s reported that UEFA’s marketing agency has held talks with potential commercial partners regarding a move to bring the 2024 final to the United States. The potential venue of the final clash – MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

And last year a Spanish broadcasting chief hinted that UEFA was testing the waters for a potential Champions League final in the USA in 2021 – a claim that was denied by the governing body, as the final for cette year was given to St. Petersburg.

We already know the venues for the CL finals withing the next few years – this season’s last match will take place in Istanbul. As mentioned, 2021 will see St. Petersburg hosting the final, Munich will stage the grand event in 2022 and Wembley will have the honor to host the game in 2023.

As things stand in modern times, money and commercial rights can change a lot of plans. It is highly possible that a Champions League final will take place in the US before the end of the next decade.

This is not a new concept for FIFA, who in 2018 had discussed the idea of taking the showpiece event to cities like New York, Miami, and Doha occasionally.
