Russian athlete Ilnaz Minigaleyev has received a 4-year ban after being found guilty of violating anti-doping regulations. The news was announced by the RUSAF (All-Russia Athletics Federation).

4-year ban for the 24-year old Russian athlete

Minigaleyev is a 24-year old runner who specializes in 1,500m, 3,000m and 5,000m. The ban was based on a recommendation from RUSADA (Russian Anti-Doping Agency), the press service explained.

Minigaleyev was charged for breaching Provision 2.3 of the All-Russia Anti-Doping Rules. This is because he either refused or failed to show up to a required doping test.

It was just last week when Russia was banned by WADA for the next four years, due to their inability to cooperate fully during probes into Russian sport

The suspension begins on September 19, 2019.
