Anthony Joshua has revealed he’s planning to have another 14 or 15 fights before his boxing career is over. The unified heavyweight champion, who currently holds the WBA, IBF & WBO belts has a record of 24-1.

When asked about how many fights he thinks he has left, he said: “14, 15. That would take me to 35, 40 fights maybe.”

Anthony Joshua will probably have to vacate a title

The 30-year old boxer’s next challenge is going to be a mandatory title defense. However, the situation appears to be that both challengers – Kubrat Pulev and Oleksandr Usyk – have been called at the same time by the IBF and WBO respectively, which will potentially force Joshua to vacate one of his belts.

“I would hate it because it’s so hard to go round and collect all these belts, it’s really difficult and I’ve kept hold of them for so many years,” the champion said.

“So to have to vacate because of the boxing politics would be annoying, but there’s things that are out of my control. If I do lose one, I know I’ll be able to get it back.”
