Thom Greer, former sports editor, ME and editor of Plain Dealer, dies at 69 March 29, 2011
Thom Greer, the former sports editor, managing editor and editor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer, has died at age 69.
Greer was believed to be the first African-American to be sports editor of a major metropolitan newspaper. He was a member of the Associated Press Sports Editors when he was sports editor in Cleveland.
