Richmond’s Trosky elected vice chair of Atlantic Coast Region July 9, 2009

Fayetteville’s Adams steps up to region chair

Steve Trosky, sports editor of the Richmond Times-Dispatch, has been elected vice chair of the APSE’s Atlantic Coast
Steve Trosky
Region, which includes papers in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Trosky was elected through an e-mail vote this week.

Todd M. Adams of the Fayetteville Observer is replacing Nick Mathews as the region chair. Mathews stepped down from the position last month. Adams, who also writes APSE’s "On The Move" column, was the region’s vice chair last year.

Trosky has been sports editor in Richmond for two years, following three years as sports editor in Lynchburg, Va., four as an assistant at the Contra Costa Times, and stops as several smaller dailies in northern California.

Adams and Trosky are beginning two-year terms, with Trosky to take over as region chair in 2011.
