National Sports Journalism Center launching grad courses in January Nov. 17, 2009

APSE members looking to sharpen their skills can soon take advantage of the National Sports Journalism Center, which will start offering graduate-level sports journalism courses in Indianapolis this January.

A full-fledged master’s degree program is proposed to follow in Fall 2010.

New courses available this January will include: Online Sports Journalism; the Business of Sports Media; and Sports Communication in Society. The courses will be run by Indiana University and IUPUI faculty and guest lecturers, including former Sports Illustrated senior writer William F. “Billy” Reed and former Chicago Tribune
sports editor Tim Franklin.
