The first webcast, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. EDT, (10:15 a.m. Pacific) is called “A role for everyone in the new sports journalism landscape,” and panelists include Christopher L. Gasper of Boston.com, Jane McManus of ESPNnewyork.com, Marist journalism student Rich Arleo and Marist associate professor of communications Dr. Lyn Lepre. They will discuss the challenges we all face in modern sports journalism and the strategies that have made them successful.
The second webcast is “Great Writing,” from 3 to 4:30 p.m. EDT (Noon Pacific), featuring investigative and enterprise specialist Bob Hohler of the Boston Globe, blogging and breaking news expert Neil Best of Newsday and Hartford Courant columnist Jeff Jacobs.
