Atlantic Coast Region to meet June 13 in Richmond June 3, 2011

The Atlantic Coast Region will hold its annual meeting on June 13 at the Richmond Times-Dispatch beginning at 9 a.m.

Region members will serve on panels as we share experiences, ideas and try to learn from each other. Here is the agenda:

9 a.m.-9:15 a.m.: Welcome, introductions

9:15-10 a.m.: High school coverage

10-10:45 a.m.: College coverage

10:45-11:30 a.m.: Social media

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Lunch

1 p.m.-1:45 p.m.: Continuous news cycle. How to deal with it using print, blogs, online-only stories.

1:45-2:30 p.m.: Community sports. Getting back to basics

2:30-3:15 p.m.: Content sharing, shared websites, FOIA requests

3:15 p.m. End session

Two students from the National Sports Journalism Center student news bureau are covering the Kentucky Derby, and their copy is available for use free of charge by APSE members.APSE has a partnership with Indiana University and the NSJC.
